My China & Japan Trip

As I embark on my journey to Shanghai, China, excitement build-up was surreal as I board the Majestic Royal Caribbean cruise liner named “Quantum of the seas”. Shortly after the mandatory safety drill was over, the activities on the vessel were in full swing. Activities included rollerblades, trapeze, bumper cars, dance nights, non-stop food and the entertainment kept us amazed during the sail.

The ship anchored twice during the voyage in Japan where we witnessed

  • Shuri Castle in Okinawa, Japan
  • The Atomic Bomb Museum in Nagasaki, Japan
  • Shikina-en Gardens in Naha, Japan, A UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As the sea voyage comes to an end it was time for some land excursion in Shanghai. Strolling by the New Financial Centre- Shanghai, the 3 skyscrapers of China, tall and aesthetic, one of which is the Shanghai World Financial Center was indeed an architectural marvel.

The vacation ended with the most mesmerizing view of The Bund from the open deck of a ship.
