Kerala, India
My Kerala Trip
They say it’s “GODS OWN COUNTRY”. So I decided to fly down to this magical place surrounded by abundant greens and flocked by tourists. My trip encompassed Munnar-Thekkady-Kovalam. Despite of heavy flooding back in 2017, Kerala lived up to my expectations. Kudos!
Munnar: Known as the land of luxury in Kerala, Munnar National Park was an absolute stunner! Enchanting views of the valley and lush greens all around, Munnar National Park is certainly a place to be. The Echo point was also a part of the itinerary which however was less exciting.
On my way to Thekkady, I decided to experience the famous Elephant bathing activity which was one of its kind – an absolute show stopper.
Thekkady: In Thakaddy I visited the Periyar National Park and a must-do Gavi Forest Jungle Jeep Safari to witness some wildlife and natural habitat. I also got an opportunity to see the pioneer of all martial art practices-Kalaripayattu which is India’s martial art and fighting system. I also got an opportunity to witness the traditional dance for-Kathakali where a story is narrated in the form of dance.
Kovalam: All I can remember when I think back about Kovalam is the sound of the waves, spotlessly clean beach and home to some delicious seafood. The experience at the Lighthouse Beach and the food at German Bakery stood above the rest.
